The North Pacific Coast climate is hot and dry, very different compared to the rest of the country. Home of the to many tropical dry forests that often line the beaches, this area host lots of animals including many species of sea birds and monkeys.
In the north of Tamarindo you can visit the Marino Las Baulas National Park, where the leatherback turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.
